Joshua is a native New Yorker now living in California with his family. He is a high functioning young man with Autism. He enjoys making the hand-made jewelry that is sold on this website. He hopes to spread joy to all those that wear these pieces. He would like to pursue jewelry and gemstone classes to learn more techniques to enhance his line of J. Ian Gems. His Mom and Aunt decided to open a business to give him a platform to share his creations with all of you.

The story begins when he discovered his love of jewelry making from his Aunt Brinn. She spent time teaching him how to make gemstone bracelets. Brinn McManus owns a store in Rochester, Minnesota that is aptly named "A Beautiful Soul". Joshua began by making bracelets for her store. She is a beautiful soul and has blessed our family by being a part of it and for bringing out his hidden talent.

Joshua wants to bring more awareness by showing others that people with Autism have special talents, often hidden until another person takes the time to help discover their secret powers.

Gemstones are thought to bring people many things including supporting better health, strength, awareness and inner peace to name a few attributes. Joshua wishes to bring all of these things and more to all of those who wear them.
